In The Press - How The Financial Services Sector Is Failing To Deal With Menopause
This month, I was delighted to be featured in an article by Money Marketing about menopause in the workplace, particularly in the financial services sector.
You only have to look around to see that the tide is turning on how we speak about menopause as a society. While talking about menopause more openly is great, there’s still a hell of a lot of work to be done when it comes to equipping women the best medical and health services and preventing companies from discriminating or marginalizing employees at this stage of their lives.
Some sectors are making more headway than others, but I know from my own network that traditionally male-dominated industries are still failing to address the issue. This is particularly true in the finance sector, which has historic issues with gender in the workplace to start with.
I discuss how workplaces need to remove the baked in menopause bias still so present, equip managers with new tools and provide career coaching for women so that they aren’t forced out of the workplace, having to make the all too frequent choice for their health or their careers. It’s why I developed The Menopause Maze TM and it’s still my mission to equip women with the tools they need to thrive at this stage of their careers.
I have limited slots available for one-to-one professional coaching but the group online programme will be launching in the coming weeks. If you’d like to start the conversation on how you can thrive in your career, improve your career health, wealth and maintain your career momentum, get in touch today.
And don't forget to come and join my growing community of workplace women in menopause too. You sign up the the waitlist here.
